I’m David Tolbert, the owner of Big Toys Storage in Summerfield, North Carolina. 

My career path has included Pastor, CPA, and General Contractor. I started a church in North Carolina in 2003 and that is what brought me here from Texas. After serving as Pastor for eight years, the church merged with Mercy Hill. I stepped down as Pastor at that time to enable the Mercy Hill ministry team to continue growing their church in the community. I feel incredibly thankful to know that our church merger was a blessing to Mercy Hill in its infancy.  I have continued as a member of this faith community. 

I returned to my accounting profession in 2011 and was a partner in a CPA Firm until I retired to pursue my dream of building houses. After getting my General Contactors License, I have been involved in multiple projects that include building new homes, additions and remodels.  

While I have held many titles, the title that describes me best is Entrepreneur. I have owned and operated various businesses over the years including owning traditional storage facilities. As I learned more about the storage business, I discovered a need for the storage of recreational vehicles, such as RVs, trailers, boats, tractors, horse trailers, etc. This began my search for the perfect property for such a place, and the vision of Big Toys Storage began!
